This is a brilliant combination of a heavy ball ended sap, a pull out garrote and a gravity activated spike.
This was purchased from Pete Mason in the early 1990s. It is an unassembled museum piece.
The McLaglen-Peskett Close Combat Weapon was developed for O.S.S. units specifically for night operations. This weapon is actually a three in one device. The metal ball at the top acts as a blackjack, below that there is a small hole out of which is pulled a garrote and at the bottom a steel spike can be extended and locked into position with the push of the button. It is issued with a wrist strap and special belt scabbard. "Commando Dagger"-Thompson P. 15
