This was issued to Chase during his deployment in Iraq around 2010
a note from Chase:
I am in the 307th TPC (Tactical PSYOP Company), 10th POB (PSYOP Battalion), 7th POG (PSYOP Group), my subcommand is USACAPOC (United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command), my overarching command is USASOC (United States Army Special Operations Command), and my highest command is USSOCOM (United States Special Operations Command). Out TO&E is set up under the Special Forces organization i.e. groups instead of regiments and detachments instead of platoons and three man teams instead of squads. The benchmade was issued to me for my Iraq deployment and the Gerber was issued for this Afghanistan deployment. The only units that get issued switchblades are special ops units, I'm assuming because their neat and too expensive to give to conventional units. If you have nay more questions feel free to ask.
