This is an original H.G. Long lapel dagger, made about ten years ago and imported by John Ek. It is a copy of the ones made by H.G. Long for the OSS and the British SOE during World War II. The dagger measures 5-1/8" overall and has 2-1/2" double edged blade. The handle has grooves on one side and a lanyard hole to help secure your grip. The handle is marked with the H.G. Long trademark of crossed daggers on a shield and: "H.G. Long & Co./ Est. 1847/ Hand Crafted". The sheath is made to fit behind the lapel of a suit or topcoat; each side has thirty holes so it'll be easy to sew to the back of your lapel. The knife and sheath are in factory new condition, in the original Ek box.
